Humans of Aged Care

ACSA has developed this initiative to share the experiences, triumphs and journeys of staff working in the aged care sector. From care workers and their colleagues, to unpaid carers and volunteers devoting themselves to the care of older Australians each and every day, to our older Australians receiving care and their families – here are their stories, told in their words.

Sector Support and Development

As part of the ACSA Workforce & Industry Development Unit, Sector Support & Development (SSD) provides information, training, mentoring and consultation in partnership with organisations, to foster good practice and new possibilities in supporting better living for older people.

ACSA Traineeship Programs

Traineeship programs provide support and mentoring to those commencing their careers as carers and/or support workers in the aged care sector.  The Trainees can gain qualifications and are guided to become confident, safe and competent aged care professionals.
