Regional Workforce Forums Far North and Eyre

ACSA's Workforce and Industry Development Unit has been holding a series of regional forums in NSW and SA to address aged care workforce issues head on.

07 Nov 2018

The SA forums in Balaklava, Karoonda and Strathalbyn attracted 95 people from 63 organisations representing local aged care providers, employment service providers, Regional Development Australia and State and Commonwealth disability providers.

Participants at the forums have identified that working together will help to build sustainable workforce initiatives in their regions. Initiatives highlighted at the forums included regional workforce hubs / information sessions, pre-employment pathway programs, youth engagement strategies and job / traineeship programs.

ACSA is holding another two forums in regional SA. On Monday 26 November we will be in Whyalla (mid-north) and on Tuesday 27 November in Port Lincoln (Eyre peninsula).
