Opportunity to Inform the Development of the Aged Care Workforce – Register for the Consultation

It is more critical than ever to work together to build capabilities across the Aged Care Services workforce.

16 Sep 2020

Over the last year the Aged Services Industry Reference Committee (ASIRC) and Skills IQ have been working on a review of the Certificate III Individual Support. Discussion papers on Student Work Placement and Reimagining the Personal Care Worker have been circulated for industry for consultation and feedback.

The final two discussion papers in the series are now available for industry consultation:

The papers are seeking vital input from the sector to inform the development of Training Package Products for Aged Care Services, as well as career pathways for both current and future Aged Care workers now and in the future.

ACSA is facilitating a consultation process so the sector can contribute to the issues raised in these papers. Sector input will assist in the development of training products that address genuine skills gaps in the workforce and improve career pathways options for all aged care workers.

The importance of this work has never been more critical.  We strongly encourage all stakeholders to participate in the consultation process. You can choose either an ACSA Online Survey OR you can book to attend an Online and interactive Focus Group session ACSA will facilitate.

Together we can ensure our workforce has the right training, tools and resources to deliver the best possible care to older Australians now and into the future.
