ACSA’s ER Team has assisted several members in recent weeks with a range of complex people matters.

These were matters such as:

  • responding to and representing members in applications for unfair dismissal remedies (up to conciliation) at the Fair Work Commission;
  • averting a potential dispute which arose over a direction to prohibit secondary employment in a jurisdiction where that is not legislated for Aged Care due to COVID-19; and
  • conducting a series of fact-finding interviews during the course of a complex performance management matter of a senior staff member and developing an exit strategy from the business for that person.


Unfortunately, these sorts of challenges arise from time to time and not all of our members have the capacity in-house to deal with them.


ACSA’s ER Team offers an affordable consultancy service. We partner with members in managing the issue at hand and also assist in building knowledge around procedural fairness when dealing with performance management and other sometimes tricky people issues.
