Are you prepared for the next changes to home care payment arrangements starting on 1 September 2021

Phase 2 of the Australian Government’s improved payment arrangements for home care starts on 1 September 2021.  From this date, providers will be paid in arrears based on actual care and services delivered in the previous month.

29 Jul 2021

The new arrangements also include the Government holding the Commonwealth portion of unspent funds in each care recipient’s home care account until needed.

While the Government has not yet released all the design details for phase 2, it is important that home care providers are planning for this change with the information currently available from the Department of Health.

ACSA has identified the following areas of importance for members to consider. Please download the below document to ensure you can map your progress towards readiness for Phase 2 of the changes to home care payment arrangements.
