Overview

This immersive session will provide ACSA Members with the essential tools, direction and confidence to become more effective with communicating and connecting with their customers on social media.  During the half-day workshop, participants will learn about Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and blogging, how to plan and create compelling content, and how to evaluate social media channels.

Participants’ learning will also be supported with a range of resources including:

- A course workbook

- A social media size cheat sheet

You will find out what works best for you and them. This knowledge will help you work out how to impact and influence others and to get them on side in conflict as well as in the changing and evolving environment. 


Target Audience

This course is designed for Communications, marketing, PR, customer service managers, community consultation officers, and staff interested in social media.


Expected Outcomes

Participants will develop skills and knowledge in:

• Social media landscape in Australia

• The differences between each platform and how to use them for marketing

• Creating engaging content

• Advertising basics

• How to respond on social and manage risk

• How to measure your social media

• Social media tools to save you time and money

This workshop is interactive and hands-on, so please bring your laptop, tablet or smartphone to the workshop.

The facilitator, Janine Marin, will engage you in demonstrations, discussions and practice activities to assist understanding and application of social media marketing.
