ACSA Education Programs

ACSA Education Programs offers members access to a variety of industry specific professional development.  The Education Calendar is developed in consultation with ACSA members and other key stakeholders to ensure that the educational needs of the members and the wider industry are met.

The ACSA education program aims to

  1. Provide structured learning and education that builds knowledge, capacity and capability
  2. Enable learning that leads to qualifications, accreditation or CPD points

Education Curriculum

The Education curriculum is designed to align all educational activities to one consistent framework and approach. There are three ‘cores’ to the ACSA curriculum. These are: Business Operations, Aged Care Knowledge and People & Performance. For each of these cores, there are key areas of program design and development that peak the members interest, are current / topical, and build capability in areas deficient across the sector.

Building a National Educational Network of Partnerships

In 2018, ACSA will be developing partnerships with a number of RTOs, with the following objectives in mind:

  • To ensure ACSA has a national connection to VET and Higher Education providers to deliver job-ready graduates for our members and the wider aged services sector
  • To deliver professional development, customised courses and short programs that address the immediate skill gaps and needs of our various member organisations
  • To connect all members, but in particular the smaller, regional and remote member organisations to specialist, customised and face to face training where appropriate.
  • Ensure ACSA is affiliated with the right RTO’s and facilitators – regularly screening, monitoring and reviewing quality and compliance to ensure ACSA is partnering with the best in the industry.
